InvitationCoverage Safe toRaise LoopClosure Follow-Through THE LISTENING LOOP 4 habits one loop

The same loop your customers live through, run inside your team: invite, make it safe, answer, follow through.

Your weakest habit sets your stage. Not your average.

In this example the average is 74, but people only bring a warning when it feels safe to, so the stage is Listening. Each habit runs 0 to 100: Never 0 · Rarely 25 · Sometimes 50 · Usually 75 · Always 100.

What it grades

Four habits your team feels. None of them is an engagement score.

Your people decide how engaged they are. These habits are decided by you. Each one is the team-side twin of a habit your customers already feel.

01

Habit 1 of 4

Invitation Coverage

Did every person on the team get asked for their input?

Weakest when the same few voices fill every meeting.

Twin of Ask Coverage on the customer side.

02

Habit 2 of 4

Safe to Raise

When someone raised a warning or a mistake, did curiosity come before blame?

Weakest when people learn it’s safer to stay quiet.

Twin of Moment Fidelity: the moment decides what people say next.

03

Habit 3 of 4

Loop Closure

Did every idea and concern get an answer, even “not now, and here’s why”?

Weakest when input goes in and nothing comes back.

Twin of Reply Rate: every voice gets a reply.

04

Habit 4 of 4

Follow-Through

Does every raised concern get one owner, a next step and a date?

Weakest when a concern has no single owner.

Twin of Resolution Rate: one person owns it until it’s closed.

Now your first customer is the employee.

Disengagement starts the way a lost customer does. Someone has an idea, a concern or a warning, and keeps it to themselves because they don’t believe anyone will listen. The Reputation Diagnostic grades the loop your team runs with customers. This one grades the loop you run with your team.

The move

  • No engagement score and no ranking, just your next step
  • One move you can start with your team this week
  • It’s not something you do extra, it’s something you do different.
  • Coach the practice, never the result.

Your next step

One loop, inside and out.

The words for the moment

Leadership Phrase System

Cards for the moments a team remembers: the assignment, the recognition, the one who went quiet, the hard conversation. Spot the moment. Say the better line.

Questions

Before you start

What does it cost?

Nothing. The Diagnostic and the full report are free.

Is this an employee survey?

No. It’s your own read of your own practice. Nobody on your team is asked anything, and nobody on your team is named.

Can I use it to rate my managers?

No. It grades a practice, never a person. If you lead other leaders, invite each of them to take it for themselves. Their result is theirs to keep and to work on.

Who is it for?

Anyone who leads people: owners, general managers, managers, supervisors and team leads, from a crew of two to many locations.

How is it different from the Reputation Diagnostic?

Same loop, other side. The Reputation Diagnostic grades the habits your team runs with customers. This one grades the habits you run with your team. Take both and you see the whole loop.

How accurate is it?

A self-read is a starting line, not a verdict. It’s as honest as your answers. Run it again in a week and see whether the work moved your stage.

What happens to my answers?

They’re recorded to measure and improve the Diagnostic. If you ask for your full report, it goes to the email you give, with a short series of notes on building the habit. Unsubscribe anytime.
